These rules blogs are written for encouragement/motivation, understanding, deeper knowledge and advice for all the rules girls regardless of whether you’re new to the rules or a long time rules girls or married rules woman or coach who supports others.
Married life for the Rules girl/Rules woman can be a life of bliss but sometimes like other couples there may be fights or minor disagreements or even major ones. This doesn’t mean everyday will be bad or even rosy. It just means as a couple they both work at the marriage by taking care of the other person’s needs.
However, if you do have big problems you have to weigh it up and look for a solution, he is your husband - NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND! You work as hard as you did to get him to keep him. For instance, if he likes home cooked meals and you can’t cook, learn and come to a solution to cook maybe twice or three times a week or cook together taking it in turns. If you don’t want to learn to cook or you are in an interracial marriage but can’t cook his native food, then sometimes you could pop to a shop that does sell his cultural dish. If he is a cook but wants to teach you certain dishes or how to make something, do show interest, remember a Rules wife is EASY TO BE AND LIVE WITH.
Rules couples see the bigger picture and stick together as they are a team! He does his part and you do yours. For the most part, it is like a fairy tale if you continue to follow the Rules for marriage because your husband never neglects you. He adores you and even on bad days he will apologize and then remind you of how special you are because you’re his everything! Rules husbands take care of their wives and children. She takes care of him, their children and is nice when his step children come by. If she lives with a blended family with step children, she treats them like they are her own. Real Rules marriages stand the test of time.
You can have one if you do The Rules as written from the beginning. If you break all the rules and the rules for marriage it is not guaranteed that you will have a marriage made in heaven. It’s possible he may cheat, neglect you and then the “D” word. You don't want that so LIVE BY THE RULES everyday!
Being a Rules wife may be tough but it’s worth it.
Now singles, although it may not be fun to go out every night and get dressed up, yes you will feel tired of it but you must be realistic and see the long term goal. The rules can only be done successfully if you have self-control, patience, determination, desire, discipline and endurance. The successful married rules women had these things and more. They learnt to cultivate these things to be successful. That’s partly how they have attained their long awaited goal.
A REMINDER FOR RULES WIVES:
As the Rules authors, Fein and Schneider have said in All the Rules, 1995, (p. 88) “The key to a successful marriage is to be happy with the way things are, not the way they could be if only he changed.”
Your time will come Singles!!
